The TENS machine sends little electrical impulses (don't worry- you control the intensity) through the electrodes placed on your back to provide distraction, focus and helps in releasing endorphins, your body's natural pain relief. These electrical impulses help to block pain signals to the brain, increasing the body's natural production of endorphins, which help to reduce and manage pain.

After your birth all you need to do is place the Elle TENS Plus device, lead wires and lanyard back in the pink mailer and attach your reply paid label and drop it in to your nearest Aus Post office! Easy!
This bundle was incredible together throughout every contraction, helping me focus on breathing and not on the pain. Love the personalised comb - what a lovely gift! But what I love the most was the care and personal touch from Hatchling: a personalised message, all items carefully packed. And the best was that I didn’t have to think about anything else: everything I needed was inside of the package, including the return envelop which came so handy during my recovery - easy to return. Also, I had to contact Tayla because I lost track of time and my labour got delayed, I wanted to make sure I had everything within the time of hiring. She’s was kind and quickly respond to my questions. What a peace of mind and kindness. Definitely recommend and will come back should I have another baby!
I hires the TENS machine through the Hatchling store for my first birth and found it to be absolutely invaluable. I wanted to labour at home for as long as possible, and found using the TENS machine in early labour through transition helped me manage the pain, time the surges and focus on something else. Naturally second time around I was very keen to use the TENS again! I had a positive birth both times, and can't fault the service with Hatchling. Returning the machine is so simple as a paid envelope is provided for you - very useful for the newborn sleep deprived haze! Can't recommend using a TENS enough to help you in your labour.

The Elle TENS was far superior for labour than a non-specific version I have used previously. 4th time labouring and I have previously not rated the TENS but this time around it was my favourite tool. I think the trick is to get it on early and increase the settings from there. I also found it really beneficial during prodromal labour, both for pain relief but also to get used to it for the big day. I had considered not hiring one this time but are so glad that I did. The service from Tayla was exceptional and I also loved the free comb provided. I used two of these, along with the TENS and then a pool which all contributed to another magical birth at home.
