After your birth all you need to do is place the TENS machine, lead wires and lanyard back in the pink mailer and attach your reply paid label and drop it in to your nearest Aus Post office! Easy!
The tens machine I hired from Hatchling was an absolute lifesaver during the early stages of labour especially - ended up only using that and nitrous oxide and feel like it helped us to have the birth experience we were hoping for. The process to hire and return was so easy and the long hire period came in handy going past our due date.
I’m so glad this tens machine was available when I needed it. I went into labor at 39+3 and it was my second birth. I started having contractions at about 1am but they weren’t strong enough to fully wake me up. When I woke up to my daughter at 4:30am I realised labor was happening and things went really fast. I called my friend to come watch my toddler so we could head to the hospital and at this time my contractions were 5 mins apart. By the time we got half way to the hospital they were 2 or less and I put the tens machine on and kept it on till I delivered.
We got to the hospital and I walked quickly to the front and as soon as I touched the entrance of emergency my waters broke and my partner put me in a wheel chair and took me upto the birth suite. I was rushed into a room and within 15 minutes my son was born at 7:05am. It was the dream unmediated birth I always wanted and I can’t believe I almost didn’t make it to the hospital. The tens machine made this experience so much easier on my body and mind. Thank you 🙏🏽
On Wednesday 7th May I had a membrane sweep. Until Saturday evening I had some inconsistent cramping. Saturday night contractions got to 5 minutes apart then stopped overnight after being admitted to hospital for fetal observation.
At 7.30am May 11, I had my waters broken to start the process of labour. Some niggles here and there till 10.30. I put my tens machine on and by approximately 12.45 I was 8cm dilated. By this stage my pain had been managed perfectly with just the TENS alone using the boost button myself.
Once 8cm my husband took over pressing the boost button while I used gas to help with the increasing pain. My midwife would adjust the settings and position of the pads accordingly. Epidural was a no go at this point as I was too far into my labour. I kept persisting until 1.38pm my precious Bub was born after 8 minutes of pushing.
I can’t thank you enough for giving me the freedom to take control of my labour until assistance was needed.
On the 26th of April at 11:45pm I went into labor with our daughter.
After laboring on my way for 5 hours it was time to get the tens machine out.
A further 7 hours I was able to remain at home whilst utilising the tens machine.
After 12 hours it was time to go to hospital where things started to progressed.
I would not have been able to push through as long as I did with pain and being calm at home like I did if it wasn’t for the tens machine.
After a 30 labor, our beautiful daughter was born.
